In this video, I show how to get the new official NPC spawn egg in Minecraft Bedrock and how to use NPCs for maps. Since NPCs don’t appear in the creative search, I demonstrate using the /give command with spawn_egg and the NPC ID 51 to get the rainbow egg. I walk through customizing an NPC’s skin, name, and dialogue, then show advanced settings where you can add commands in button mode (like repeatedly giving an item). I also warn that NPCs are one-hit and can be deleted easily, so it’s smart to save your text and double-check commands.

In this video I show how to check what items a player has in their Minecraft inventory using /execute with NBT inventory checks. I demonstrate testing for a normal item (like a diamond), testing for a specifically renamed item using display Name tags, and testing for multiple items at once by listing additional IDs. I also explain how to wire the result with a comparator so a positive test can trigger particles, effects, sounds, or other command block actions.

In this video I show how to use command blocks in 1.21+ to add custom effects to any block using /execute if block, then running particles, sounds, and /effect. I demonstrate three examples: a blue concrete “speed strip” with soul-fire particles, a red concrete hazard that plays a burning sound and gives Wither damage, and a healing block that triggers once and grants Regeneration with heart particles. After watching, you can swap the block types, effects, particles, and sounds to create your own traps and ability floors for maps.

In this video, I walk through how the /worldborder command works in Minecraft and explain each of its main subcommands. I show how to set the border size with set, move its location with center, and expand or shrink it instantly or over time using add (including negative values). I also demonstrate how get, damage, buffer, and warning control border info, how much damage players take outside it, how far they can go before taking damage, and how the red screen warning appears as you approach the border.

In this video, I break down 15 hidden features Mojang added in Minecraft 1.16, noting which ones work on Bedrock versus Java. I show off Bedrock emotes, the border block and jigsaw block, and some surprising effects like honey-style particles on crying obsidian. I also cover Nether secrets like piglins transforming in the Overworld, striders shivering outside lava, bartering and gold armor behavior, and Netherite items surviving lava. Finally, I explain soul fire mechanics, ruined portals, the respawn anchor (and how it explodes in the Overworld), and using a lodestone to lock a compass for navigation.

In this video I show you how to obtain the hidden Structure Block using /give, since it can’t be found in the creative inventory. I explain the main modes—Save and Load—for copying/pasting builds, adjusting relative position, dimensions, rotation, and how to avoid replacing the block itself. I also demonstrate updating saved builds, repairing areas by re-loading, and including entities like mobs in your saves. Finally, I cover Corner mode so you can detect an area without remembering coordinates, making Structure Blocks much easier to use.

In this video I show off the hidden Jigsaw Block I found and explain what it is and why it looks so confusing at first. I demonstrate how to get it with /give (search “jigsaw”) and how to place it correctly so the arrow points into a block. Then I walk through using its settings to generate village streets, decorations like lamps and flowers, and different sizes of village houses. I also mention it’s buggy right now since the structure blocks don’t disappear, but it’s still a powerful way to build custom villages.

In this video I showcase nine new Minecraft 1.16 Java particles I found by digging through the game files, and I explain why they’re some of the best-looking particles Minecraft has had. I go through each particle one by one, show what it looks like in-game, and give the exact /particle command and particle name so you can use them yourself. Highlights include reverse portal, entity_effect, dripping/landing obsidian tear, white ash, ash, warped spore, soul, and the awesome soul fire flame. I walk through the main options like add, get, list, remove, and set, then demonstrate how to make the bar visible to players and customize its color, style (notches), value, max, name, and visibility. In this video, I walk you through how to use the /replaceitem command step by step and show the different ways it can be used on entities, players, and containers. In my video, I check out the new Paint add-on/plugin for Minecraft Bedrock from the Marketplace and walk through the in-game booklet that explains how it works. I craft paint buckets with dye, dip paintbrushes, and show how it recolors blocks and even some mobs like pigs, plus how premium brushes get more uses. I also test cleaning tools (rag and sponge) to remove paint and reset buckets. Finally, I try the paint roller and paintballs, which quickly paint 3×3 areas and can splash-color players and mobs.

In my latest video, I dive into Minecraft Bedrock to review the Prizma Visuals plugin and see if it’s worth the hype compared to other packs like Actions & Stuff. At first it felt mostly vanilla with small texture and animation tweaks, but turning on Vibrant Visuals made everything look dramatically shinier, foggier, and almost 3D with reflective blocks and glassy water. I’m still unsure what changes are from the pack versus Vibrant Visuals, especially for the price (about $15 AUD), but overall it looks really cool. I jumped back into my Let’s Play world after accidentally dying, but thankfully I’d stored enough resources to get back on my feet. I focused on rebuilding tools and armor, expanding and replanting the wheat farm, and finally baking our first bread to celebrate with my still-unnamed dog. Then I tried fishing for the first time in ages, snagging cod, salmon, string, and even an unbreaking fishing rod. I crafted a smoker to cook everything super fast, checked the farm’s progress, and wrapped up this chill, shorter episode asking what you want to see next.

In this episode I jumped back into our Minecraft world, but I was annoyed to realize I’d recorded 35 minutes without capturing the gameplay, so I quickly caught you up on fixing the farm, hiding water under trees, and doing a bit of off-camera mining for iron and copper. I set out to find a good cave, grabbed some coal and more iron, and finally found a promising mine—until my controller disconnected and I got overwhelmed by mobs. I died, lost my gear and XP, and couldn’t reliably find the spot again before nightfall. Now we’re a bit set back, but we’ve still got resources, and next episode is about getting back on track and rebuilding smarter.

In this episode, I start planning a reliable food source by building a crop farm right next to the house. I clear and shape the area, chop trees, collect saplings, and build a wooden fence layout while trying to keep the landscape looking natural, even adding a small river/waterfall idea. Along the way I deal with mobs, close calls, and a creeper setback, and I mention the dog is still unnamed since the last video wasn’t public yet. The episode ends early when my controller battery dies, so we’ll finish the farm in the next part.

In episode two of my Minecraft lets play, I start by dealing with some creeper damage and realize I need to light up and improve the house so mobs stop surprising me (especially since I can’t hear game audio). I craft torches, grab wool to make a bed, and explore until I find and tame a new dog—now I need your help naming him in the comments. Back home, I lay down a cobblestone slab floor, set up barrel storage, add windows, and decorate the entrance with berry bushes while spreading more torches around the area. I also share a quick life update about starting a new job, and then end the episode with the base looking safer and way more livable.

I’m kicking off a brand-new, super chill Minecraft series and returning to the nostalgic “old days” by using the classic texture pack on Bedrock while playing on a controller like I did on Xbox 360. After getting burnt out on tutorials and overedited, saturated Minecraft content (and being busy with uni/work), I just want to take things slow and enjoy building a new world. In this first episode I scramble through early survival—mining coal and copper, dealing with controller disconnects, and fighting mobs—while scouting a beautiful spot to settle. I start building my first rough base, ask for your tips on ore spawns and ideas for what to do next, and promise to keep improving the world together.

I finally checked out what looks like Minecraft’s new game, Soul Steel, and jumped in blind to see what it’s all about. It drops you straight into a story, then throws you into timed dungeon runs where you grab gold, hunt for keys, and try to escape before the Chrono Keeper flame runs out. I loved the custom UI, portals, and especially the combat, even though I kept getting rank E and felt totally lost in Port Fortuna’s menus and shops. I’m ending it here for now, but I definitely want to explore more and go deeper if you want a full series on it.

I’m excited to share a small update and sneak peek at the new #recroom game I’m working on. In this bubble world, the goal is to collect tons of awesome items inside your own giant bubble. I showed how you can run up to objects like the cactus and collect it for bubble points, and you’ll be able to collect pretty much everything. There’s a lot more coming, from snowmen to trees and beyond.

Zones now look different because you can walk around and claim your own zones anywhere you want, spawning them from your wrist or the action bar. In this video, I show you how I build a simple interactive store pop-up in Rec Room so players can click a mannequin and see (and buy) a featured clothing item. I start by enabling Creative Tools beta content, then place a Mannequin and copy my full-body avatar onto it. Next, I add an Interaction Volume and wire it to Avatar Item and Show Avatar Item Details chips, setting the item you want to showcase. I also mention sizing the interaction volume correctly and optionally adding sound effects for extra polish.

In this video, I show how to build a multi-choice menu in Rec Room using the Player Prompt Multi-Choice chip and a String List you create with List Create. I walk through adding and configuring list inputs, then customizing the prompt title and body to make the menu look cleaner. To detect what the player picked, I use an Execution Integer Switch driven by the response index (starting at 0) and demonstrate triggering different outputs, like playing different sounds, based on the selected option.

In this video, I show how the If chip works in Rec Room and explain that it checks whether something is true or false. I demonstrate how to find and spawn the If chip from the palette, then pair it with a bool variable. By setting the variable to true or false, you can see the If chip execute through the Then output when true and the Else output when false.

I found a weird new feature in Minecraft: a beta AI helper bot named Mel that you can chat with, complete with voice and animations. I tested it with basic questions like crafting a pickaxe and building redstone doors, and it gave surprisingly solid answers (though it can be slow). Some prompts got flagged or needed rewording, and I also checked whether it would hallucinate by asking about a fake item, which it correctly didn’t recognize. Overall, it has potential, but it still needs work—and if you need tutorials, you can always find them on my channel.

I thought I missed half of this week’s Featured Rooms in Rec Room VR, so I’m checking out the rest. I jump into Asylum Decay, a spooky chapter-based room where you collect code parts to escape, and I’d love to play more if you all want it. Then I explore Calaria and NRD Inc. Studio, both super cozy and visually impressive with great atmosphere and creative asset use. I end with “You are USA,” which looks awesome but feels held back by too many paywalled features.

I spotted a new Minecraft snapshot announcement and noticed it added “mannequin entities,” a technical mob you can only spawn with /summon. I jumped into the snapshot to test it and found it’s basically a player-like avatar that behaves like a living entity, with player-style health that can take damage and potentially hold/wear gear. It seems perfect for displays in vanilla worlds, and it even interacts with things like boats. If you want a deeper breakdown, I’ll make a tutorial showing what you can do with mannequins.

I’m following up on my earlier video about the special Minecraft item you could earn by mining copper before September 2nd, and it turns out the community hit an insane 50 million copper mined. Now that the event is over, I’ll show you how to actually claim the Copper Collector reward from your character editor. You can grab it through the Marketplace’s Featured Items tab, or by searching “copper” if you don’t see that section. It’s even animated, and there are a few other cool copper-themed items worth checking out too.

In this video, I share an update on Rec Room’s finances following the layoffs and focus on the company’s new transparency statement. I explain that Rec Room says they aren’t out of money, have several years of runway (potentially to 2029), and claim to have no debt, while UGC revenue is still growing and July was their biggest month. I break down why strong revenue doesn’t equal strong profit, since about 30% goes to platform fees and a large portion goes back to creators, leaving Rec Room with much less per dollar. I also commend the severance and healthcare support, but raise concerns about their shift toward prioritizing top creators and ask whether tools and opportunities will remain open to everyone.

In this video, I show how to use the Replicator in Rec Room to clone objects like vending machine items. In this video, I dive into this week’s Featured Rooms in Rec Room and give my first impressions as I explore each one. I check out Mini Empire’s tiny buildable world, then walk through Gondor and absolutely love its style and atmosphere, calling it a 10/10. I also tour Palace of the Fine Arts for its stunning scenery and interactive drawing canvases, try out the Block Blast game room, and explore Zakania and another beachy, statue-like build that really impressed me with their creativity. Overall, this week’s rooms felt especially polished, immersive, and fun to explore.

I’m giving you a quick look at Rec Room’s newly updated Rec Center, which now has an awesome medieval theme. The kitchen and café areas have been completely redone with brick textures, barrels, and a full medieval dining vibe while still keeping some of the classic seating and style. There’s also a really cool outdoor area and details I didn’t even notice until filming that show how much effort they put in. The basketball area looks mostly the same, but the overall update is super impressive.

I place a CV2 button, set up an int variable, and use an add chip so each button press increases the value by 1 instead of resetting. Then I add a text object and wire the variable output into the text (with an automatic int-to-string conversion) so the score displays on screen. By the end, you can click the button and watch the number count up.
