Video Summary
I discovered a secret world editor tool in Minecraft Bedrock Edition that allows you to create and edit maps at scale without playing the game normally. The editor includes various tools like fill, line drawing, entity spawning, measurement, and painting brushes that make world building incredibly fast and efficient. I’m amazed by this tool’s capabilities and plan to create detailed tutorials on how to use each feature.

If you want to watch the full video you can check it out here: Minecraft Has A Secret World Editor You Can Use Okay, so this one came completely out of nowhere. I had just started recording because I genuinely believe there is a secret Minecraft program that I had never heard of before — something that has apparently just been released. Think MCEdit, but built directly into Minecraft, allowing you to fully build and edit maps at incredible speed without even having to play the game in the traditional sense. I had absolutely no clue this existed, and honestly, it is so cool. So if you head into Bedrock Edition and click on Create, there is actually a Tools section in there. It reads “Editor Beta — Stunning Worlds at Scale,” and from there you can create a new project. What is really interesting is that it does not appear to require any additional software downloads at all — it is literally built right inside Minecraft Bedrock. When you go to create a new project, it actually removes the traditional worlds tab from the game, though your servers and friends tab are still accessible. You just create a new project, name it, set it to creative, and jump right in. Once you are inside, you are greeted with a welcome message: “Welcome to the Minecraft Editor Beta — a tool designed to help you create stunning worlds in Bedrock with ease.” Navigation is handled through a mouse and keyboard setup, where you hold down the right mouse button to look around and use W, A, S, and D to fly around the space. It feels very familiar if you have ever used any kind of 3D editor before, and there is documentation available to help you get started. Over on the left rail, there are a bunch of tools to explore, and each one is genuinely exciting. There is a clipboard and paste section, as well as a line tool that lets you draw a line of blocks from one point to another. You simply select the block you want, confirm your selection, and run the fill selection — it is essentially the fill command on steroids, which is saying something. I am absolutely going to make dedicated tutorials on how to use all of these tools individually because there is a lot to unpack here. There is also a summon tool, which lets you click on the map to spawn in entities. Time is frozen in the editor, so you can place things like animals and mobs without them running off, and you can even rotate them after placing them. It also has the random generation feature included, which is a really nice touch. The measurement tool is another highlight — it works a bit like a ruler and lets you measure distances and dimensions anywhere in your world, which is going to be incredibly useful for large builds. There also appears to be some kind of coordinate or positioning display alongside it, which helps with precision building. Then there is the paintbrush tool, which lets you select an area to work with, and a flatten brush with an adjustable radius for smoothing out terrain. And then there is Smart Fill — and wow, Smart Fill is something else entirely. After selecting an area, Smart Fill was able to intelligently fill in an entire mountain. I genuinely could not believe what I was seeing. That is the kind of tool that is going to save builders an enormous amount of time. I honestly just pulled this up and thought, you know what, I may as well react to it on camera — and I am so glad I did. The Minecraft Editor Beta is a genuinely impressive tool that is going to change the way people build and create in Bedrock Edition. I am 100% planning to do a full tutorial for each individual feature because this deserves a proper deep dive.
