Channel Update Time!

Video Summary

I’m taking a break from uploading due to burnout, but I’m planning to make a comeback with a new strategy focused on short-form Minecraft tutorial content and expanding beyond just Minecraft to include Rec Room content and creative teaching videos. My goal is to help people learn valuable skills like video editing, thumbnails, and Minecraft commands while keeping the channel centered around fostering creativity.

Channel Update: What’s Coming Next for UnderMyCap!

Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyCap, and welcome back! Today I wanted to sit down and have a little chat with you all about the future of the channel — what I’ve been up to, where things are heading, and what exciting new content you can expect to see coming your way. I’m doing this one in VR because honestly, I feel like it’s just a better way to connect and talk with you guys, so let’s get straight into it!

So… Where Have I Been?

If you’ve been keeping an eye on the channel recently, you might have noticed it’s been pretty quiet. It’s been around four to five months since my last proper upload, and I just wanted to be upfront and honest with you all about why. The truth is, I’ve been feeling a little burnt out. Life has been busy — uni, general life stuff — and it all kind of piled up. But more than that, I’ve really wanted to start making content that is genuinely valuable. I don’t want to just be pumping out videos for the sake of it — I want everything I put out to actually mean something and help people. So rather than rushing back, I took the time to think about what I really want this channel to be, and I’m genuinely excited about what’s ahead!

Minecraft Tutorials — Going Short Form

One of the biggest things I’ve noticed lately is that my Minecraft tutorial Shorts have been performing really well. I’ve only done a couple so far, but they’ve been super effective at reaching new people, and they really seem to stand out. When it comes to tutorials, people don’t need a long video — you come, you learn the thing you wanted to learn, and then you go off and do your own creative thing. That’s something I’ve always loved about this channel — it’s a place where people can learn and then get out there and stay creative. With so much amazing competition in the Minecraft command tutorial space right now (which is honestly awesome to see — so many great people helping others in the community!), I think Shorts is going to be the best way for me to stand out and reach more people. So expect a lot more short-form Minecraft command tutorials coming your way!

New Content — Rec Room and Talking Videos

As well as doubling down on Minecraft Shorts, I’m also planning to branch out into some exciting new content. I’ve really been enjoying using VR characters to talk and connect with you all, and I’m planning to do a whole lot more of that through Rec Room content. I run a bunch of events inside Rec Room, so I might start recording those, or use the space to do more talking-style videos and discussions. The vision I’ve had for this channel from the very beginning has always been bigger than just Minecraft — I want this to be a place where people can learn all kinds of creative skills. Things like video editing from my own experience, creating thumbnails, Minecraft commands, being creative inside Rec Room, and so much more. I want to share everything I’ve learned so that you can go out there and start making awesome content of your own!

The Plan of Attack

So to wrap it all up, here’s the plan going forward. First, I’ll be making more Minecraft command tutorials in short form so people can learn faster and the content can reach as many people as possible. Second, I’ll be creating new Rec Room content — recording events, doing talking videos, and bringing more of that VR energy to the channel. And third, I’ll be putting out a whole bunch of creative content designed to help you build skills and stay creative online. It’s a big plan, and I’m so ready to get stuck into it!
