Skulk Catalyst Spread VS 10000 Zombies?!

In the new release of Minecraft 1.19, the Sculk Catalyst was introduced. Essentially, when you use a Sculk Catalyst, it converts nearby mobs and animals that die into Sculk blocks.

I started wondering what would happen if I spawned a thousand mobs all at once. Things got really crazy.

Spawning a Massive Amount of Mobs

I placed a command block and decided to spawn as many mobs as I could.

Okay—moment of truth. Let’s see what actually happens.

Here come all the mobs… Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Look how fast it grows! The particles are so cool as well. This is great—look how cool that is.

You can see it spreading outward really quickly, and it’s spawning Sculk Sensors too.

Testing What Triggers the Spread

Obviously, if I kill a zombie here, will it do anything? No.

That’s still so cool, though. Look how fast it goes. You can see over there it’s growing like crazy. Look at that—it’s still spreading really fast.

Building Up to See If It Climbs

I wanted to see whether it could overtake everything if I built upward, so I went over and started building a tower to test it.

Just look how fast it goes. It literally got rid of all those blocks.

Now, let’s see if it will grow upward. First I need to make it able to spread up there, and—oh my gosh. Whoa. Oh my gosh, how did it—oh my god.

And look at these particles—they’re so cool. This is such a cool block. I honestly don’t even know what to do with it.
