GET Secret Paintings In Minecraft!

Video Summary
In this video, I show you how to get the super secret Minecraft paintings (Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire) using the new 1.20 update on Java Edition. I walk you through enabling the Operator Items Tab in your settings, then opening your inventory to find the hidden Operator Utilities tab. From there, you can grab the secret paintings (plus other items like the debug stick) and place the cool 2×2 artworks in your world. Hey everybody, it’s Anna McCapp, and welcome back to another video. Today, I’m going to show you how to get the super-secret paintings in Minecraft.

This tutorial is for Java Edition. If you’re on Bedrock Edition, leave a like and a comment letting me know you’d like a Bedrock version of this.

Why These Paintings Are “Secret”

The paintings you see behind me aren’t ones you can normally get by placing standard paintings on a wall and cycling through the options. With the new Minecraft 1.20 update, though, it’s now super easy to access them.

What You Need Before You Start

First, you’ll need operator permissions (OP) for the world or server you’re playing on.

How to Enable the Operator Items Tab (Java Edition)

To access the secret items tab, follow these steps:

1. Press Esc to open the menu.
2. Click Options.
3. Go to Controls.
4. Find the setting called Operator Items Tab and turn it ON.

At first, it won’t look like anything changed. The tab appears when you open your inventory.

How to Find the Secret Paintings

Now press E to open your inventory. You should see a secret Operator Utilities tab. Click on it, and you’ll find a bunch of hidden or special items—including the Debug Stick.

In that same tab, you’ll also find the four secret paintings:

Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire.

Add them to your inventory, and you’ll be able to place them like normal paintings.

Painting Size and What They Look Like

These paintings are 2×2 blocks, and they look really cool once placed in your world. Personally, I really like the brown one—it looks especially awesome.

If you found this helpful, don’t forget to leave a like and subscribe. I can’t wait to see you in the next video. See you!
