How To Get A Knockback 1,000 Stick In Minecraft Java Tutorial

Video Summary

In this tutorial, I show viewers how to create a knockback 1,000 stick in Minecraft Java Edition using the give command with enchantments syntax. I demonstrate how to modify the knockback level by adjusting the LVL value in the command, showing the dramatic effects as the level increases from 10 to 100, where mobs get launched extremely far or disappear entirely. The command uses /give @s minecraft:stick with an enchantments bracket containing the knockback ID and desired level.

How To Get A Knockback 1,000 Stick In Minecraft Java Edition

Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyCap and welcome back to another video! Today I’m going to be showing you how to get a Knockback 1,000 stick in Minecraft Java Edition. Obviously you can’t get these in game normally because they are so powerful, but don’t worry — I’ve got you covered with a step-by-step guide on exactly how to do it. Please note that unfortunately this won’t work for Bedrock Edition as the syntax is slightly different, so this guide is specifically for Java Edition players.

Why Use a Knockback Stick?

If you’ve ever hit a mob and thought “I wish they would fly further,” then a Knockback 1,000 stick is exactly what you need. With a standard hit, mobs don’t go very far at all — but with this enchantment cranked up to extreme levels, you can send mobs flying as far away as possible. It’s an incredibly fun thing to experiment with and the results are absolutely wild!

The Command You Need

To get your Knockback stick, you’ll need to type a command into your command terminal. The command we are using is the give command, which allows us to give ourselves a custom enchanted item. Here is the full command broken down step by step.

Start by typing /give @s minecraft:stick — the @s targets yourself, though you can also use @p for the nearest player. You can swap out stick for any item you’d like, but for this tutorial we’re going with a stick to make our Knockback stick. After the item, open a squiggly bracket { and type Enchantments followed by a colon. Then open a square bracket [ followed by another squiggly bracket { and type id:knockback followed by a comma, then lvl:1000 — where lvl is simply an abbreviation of level followed by whatever level value you’d like.

The full command looks like this:

/give @s minecraft:stick{Enchantments:[{id:knockback,lvl:1000}]}

Testing It Out

To demonstrate how the levels work, I first tried it at level 10 just to show the difference. You can see that the stick is given with Knockback 10 on it, and when you place a creeper and give it a hit, they go absolutely flying! Then pushing it up to level 100 makes mobs disappear almost instantly — they are simply gone. Testing it out underwater was even more incredible, as it literally slaps mobs out of existence. It was one of the coolest things I’ve seen!
