NEW How To Use Spectator Mode In Minecraft Bedrock Tutorial!

Video Summary
In this video, I show you how to use the new Spectator Mode in Minecraft Bedrock and why it’s useful for letting people view a world without breaking anything. With cheats enabled, type /gamemode spectator to switch, and you’ll lose the GUI while flying freely. You can move down with Shift, up with Space, and even pass straight through blocks and water. To exit, just use /gamemode creative or /gamemode survival to return to normal.

Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyApp, and welcome back to another video. Today I’m going to show you the all-new Spectator Mode in Minecraft Bedrock.

This has been around for a long time in Java Edition, and now you can use it in Bedrock too. It’s super useful if you don’t want people breaking anything, or if you want them to view a world without damaging it.

Requirements

To use Spectator Mode, you’ll need a world with cheats enabled.

How to Enable Spectator Mode

Right now, I’m in Creative Mode. To switch to Spectator Mode, open the chat and type:

/gamemode spectator

Then hit enter. You’ll notice the world refreshes, and your character switches to a new perspective.

What Spectator Mode Does

In Spectator Mode, you won’t have a normal GUI, but you can still look around and move as usual (for example, using WASD on keyboard, or touch controls on mobile).

Controls

Movement feels similar to Creative Mode:

Shift moves you downward.

Space moves you upward.

The big difference is that you can’t break blocks.

Flying Through Blocks

One of the coolest features is that you can fly straight through blocks. For example, you can move through walls, go inside houses without opening doors, and even pass through water without being slowed down.

You can also see through the ground while moving around. I’m not sure if that’s intended, but it’s what happens here.

What You Look Like

If you look at your character from an outside view, it appears like a floating head. I’m pretty sure other players can’t see it, but that’s how you can tell you’re in Spectator Mode.

How to Exit Spectator Mode

To leave Spectator Mode, just switch back to Creative or Survival, depending on what you were using before. For example, to go back to Creative, type:

/gamemode creative

Once you’re back, you’ll have your normal character again. You can still fly in Creative, but you won’t be able to pass through walls anymore.

Thanks so much for watching. If you enjoyed, don’t forget to leave a like and subscribe—it would be greatly appreciated. If you want to check out my channel, I post a bunch of tutorials, especially command tutorials for both Bedrock and Java. I can’t wait to see you in the next video.
