Minecraft Bedrock Title Command Tutorial For Bedrock MCPE!
Video Summary
In this video I show you how to use the /title command in Minecraft Bedrock/MCPE, including title, subtitle, and actionbar messages. I demonstrate how subtitles only display when a title is played, and how to re-set them so they show again. Then I explain the /title times command to control fade in, stay, and fade out durations using tick values. Finally, I cover /title reset to restore defaults and /title clear to remove pending titles/subtitles.
Formatted Transcript
Hey everybody, it’s Undermyap, and welcome back to another video. Today I’m going to show you how to use the /title command in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
If you’re a Java Edition player, don’t worry—there’s a Java Edition version linked in the description. This Bedrock tutorial won’t work for Java.
The Basics: Sending a Title
In Bedrock Edition, you have several options within the /title command, including: actionbar, clear, reset, subtitle, times, and title.
Let’s start with the basics. To display a title message to everyone, use:
/title @a title hello
You’ll see “hello” appear as a title on the screen.
Adding a Subtitle
You can also set a subtitle. To do that, use the same structure but replace title with subtitle:
/title @a subtitle hello
However, the subtitle won’t show immediately on its own. A subtitle only displays when a title is also played. So after setting the subtitle, run a title command:
/title @a title hello
Now the subtitle will appear along with the title.
Why Your Subtitle May Not Show Again
Once you set a subtitle and it plays, it won’t necessarily appear again the next time you run the same title. If you want the subtitle to show again, simply set the subtitle again, then run another title command.
Using the Action Bar
The action bar is the small text area at the bottom of the screen. To send an action bar message, use:
/title @a actionbar hello
You can also target a specific player instead of everyone. For example:
/title undermyap actionbar hello
This works similarly to the title and subtitle commands, and you can use it as often as you like.
Changing Title Timings with times
If you want to control how long titles take to fade in, stay on screen, and fade out, you can use the times option.
The structure looks like this:
/title @a times <fadeIn> <stay> <fadeOut>
Each number is measured in ticks (20 ticks = 1 second). For example:
/title @a times 20 40 20
This means:
– Fade in for 20 ticks
– Stay for 40 ticks
– Fade out for 20 ticks
After setting the timing, play a title or action bar again to see the effect. You’ll notice it fades in, stays longer, then fades out more slowly according to the values you chose.
Resetting or Clearing Titles
If you want to completely reset the title system—restoring default timing and clearing subtitle settings—use:
/title @a reset
There’s also the clear command. This is useful if you set something (like a subtitle) and you don’t want it to display anymore. Clearing removes what’s currently set:
/title @a clear
Wrapping Up
That’s about it for using the /title command in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. If you enjoyed this, consider leaving a like and subscribing. And if you’re on Java Edition, make sure to check out the Java tutorial, since this one only works for Bedrock.
Thanks so much for watching, and I’ll see you in the next video.
