How To Change Your Player Size in Minecraft! Become a Giant!

Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyCap and welcome back to another video! Today I’m going to be showing you how to make your player into a giant in Minecraft. This is super cool and it is 100% working in Java Edition — you just have to make sure you’re in one of the newer versions. I believe it’s 1.20 and above. The best part? This is such an awesome and simple command that you can do with your friends, all in Minecraft with no mods!

The Command You Need

What we want to do is type in /attribute and then select ourselves. If you do want to select a different player — let’s say you have another person online that you wanted to change the height of — you can simply select their name. For now, we’re just going to use @s.

Now this is the very important part of the command. This is where you have to actually select the scale of the player, and you have to make sure you spell everything correctly and format it correctly. What we’re going to type in next is minecraft:generic.scale. Once you’ve done that, select base set — and this is the cool part — this is where you can set your actual height!

Setting Your Scale

Default players are just the number 1 for their height, but you can actually select whatever height you want. If we choose 2, you’ll notice that the player actually grows in height. The scale of the blocks appears to be the same, but you’ll notice that you are a bit taller — you can’t walk through certain doorways or archways anymore because you’re so tall!

The really cool part is when you increase this number to a very large value. If we set it to 10, you’ll notice the player has completely grown in height and looks absolutely massive! One thing worth noting is that increasing your scale does not increase the height you can jump — this command makes you larger in size, so I’d imagine that all the other attributes, such as interacting with and killing mobs, will also be impacted as well.

Shrinking Your Player

This command also works in the opposite way! If you did want to shrink your player, you can simply use a decimal value such as 0.5 and you’ll see your player shrink down to a much smaller size. It’s a really fun way to mix things up with your friends!

Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed learning how to change your player size in Minecraft! It’s such a simple but fun command that can add a whole new experience to your game without needing any mods. Give it a try and have some fun with it! If you enjoyed this, don’t forget to leave a like and subscribe — I can’t wait to see you in the next one!
