How to get Frog lights In Minecraft Tutorial

Video Summary
In this video I show you how to get froglights in Minecraft 1.19 using only a small magma cube and frogs. I demonstrate that different frog variants produce different froglight colors when they eat the magma cubes. I also point out the real challenge is transporting frogs to the Nether so they can eat the cubes there. I love how confident and adorable the frogs are, and I’ll be covering more 1.19 content soon.

Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyCap, and welcome back to another video. Today I’m going to show you how to get froglights in the new 1.19 update.

Froglights are really cool—and surprisingly simple to get—if you can manage to get everything where it needs to go.

What You Need

You don’t need anything complicated. Literally all you need is a small magma cube.

Let’s see if I can get one… okay, we got a small one.

How Froglights Work

As you can see, different colored frogs give you different colored froglights. The orange frog gives an orange froglight, and the white frog gives a white froglight.

Oh my gosh—did you see how fast it’s going? It’s just running over and eating them all. That is actually crazy. And I love how confident they look when they storm up to it.

Also, the “white” froglight looks kind of purplish, which is pretty cool.

Getting the Green Froglight

The last one is the green frog, so hopefully we get lucky—and hopefully the white frog doesn’t eat everything again.

Please do not—come on… oh my gosh. Look, it’s like it’s locked onto something. That is so funny.

Okay, please… you’re hungry, eat them. There we go.

You’ll also get an advancement, and you can see we end up with all the different colored froglight blocks.

The Real Challenge

The real challenge is getting the magma cubes where the frogs can eat them—especially because, in practice, you’ll need to get the frogs into the Nether to do this. That part is going to be a bit crazy unless you can somehow bring them through safely.

I have to say, the frogs are so cute. I think they’re my new favorite mob in Minecraft.
