This week's Featured Rooms inside of Rec Room VR PT2

Video Summary

In this video, I showcase the second part of this week’s featured rooms in Rec Room VR, exploring four unique user-created spaces: Asylum Decay (a spooky escape game), Calaria (a cozy hammock hangout), NRD Inc. Studio (a beautifully atmospheric picnic area with impressive tree details), and You Are USA (a creative shopping district with some pay-to-win features). I highlight the impressive creativity and design effort across these rooms while noting that some features are paywalled, and I encourage viewers to like, subscribe, and leave feedback.

This Week’s Featured Rooms Inside Rec Room VR – Part 2

Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyCap! You probably thought I missed out on half of the featured rooms this week — and I did! But today, we’re going through the rest of this week’s featured rooms in Rec Room VR. So, without further ado, let’s dive straight in!

If you’d prefer to watch the full video, you can check it out here: This Week’s Featured Rooms Inside Rec Room VR – Part 2

Asylum Decay

The first room on our list is Asylum Decay. Jumping straight in, we’re greeted with a little start room, which is a really cool touch. There’s even a little person sitting at the desk — very cool! The room has a genuinely spooky atmosphere, and the objective is to collect all the parts of a code in order to escape. It feels like an actual full game with proper chapters, which is impressive. If you’d like to see a full playthrough of this room, definitely drop a comment below — I think it’s well worth exploring!

Calaria

Next up is Calaria, and this one is really cool. It felt like I had shrunk a little bit upon entering, which added to the charm! The room features a gorgeous cosy vibe, complete with a little hammock, some chest pieces, and a lovely hangout area with butterflies floating around. It did lag my game a little, but honestly, it looked so cool that it was absolutely worth it. I love how the creator has made great use of studio assets — it really brings the whole space together into something special.

NRD Inc. Studio

The third room is NRD Inc. Studio, and I have to say — this one is stunning. It features a beautiful, cosy picnic area with a really lovely atmosphere that’s hard to put into words. There’s even a house on the property, and the trees are decorated with little stars, which is such a gorgeous detail. I really wanted to be able to go inside the house, but it appeared to be empty — which is a little bit of a shame. That said, I’d give this room a solid 10 out of 10 for effort. The vibe is incredible, the trees look amazing, and it’s just an all-round cool and creative space.

You Are USA (YouAreUSA)

The last room of the week is one I wasn’t quite sure how to pronounce — I went with “You Are USA”, and I’m going with that! This room has a similar aesthetic to NRD Inc. Studio, but what really stands out is the tiling on the buildings, which is incredibly creative. It’s a great reminder of just how much creative freedom this platform offers. Inside, there’s a little shop selling hoodies in basic colours as well as some printed designs, along with some swords available for purchase. There is a bit of a pay-to-win element here, with many of the features sitting behind a paywall, which is a little disappointing. However, the room also has a lovely mirror and a really cool jetty area. Overall, it’s a super cool room with a lot of great ideas on display.
