Video Summary
This week I showcased five featured Rec Room worlds: Don’t Eat the Porridge, a creative cooking game; Find the Button Sky Island, an island-hopping adventure; Medieval Obby, a challenging platformer; Pond House, a beautifully crafted scenic world that was my favorite; Forest Down North, an impressive nature-themed creation; and Head.io, a coin-collecting game with extensive monetization features. Each world demonstrated unique creativity and design, though some had minor issues, and I encourage viewers to like and subscribe for next week’s featured rooms showcase.

If it’s Tuesday, it’s featured rooms day! Every week I dive into some of the best featured worlds inside Rec Room VR, and this week did not disappoint. From creative builds to exciting obstacle courses, there was something for everyone. If you’d prefer to watch the full video, you can check it out here: This Week’s Best Featured Worlds Inside Of Rec Room VR. Otherwise, let’s get straight into it! The first world we checked out this week was Don’t Eat the Porridge, and right from the start it surprised me. Jumping into a private instance, I was greeted with a really cool kitchen setup, complete with a table and some very interesting gameplay. The name says it all ā you’re not supposed to eat the porridge ā but of course, I had to find out what happens when you do. After grabbing the ladle, scooping some up, and figuring out how to actually eat it, let’s just say the result was wonderfully trippy. A very unique and fun little world to explore! Next up was Find the Button Sky Island, and this one was a lot of fun. The concept is simple ā there are a whole bunch of islands and your job is to find the button. Jumping across the islands and exploring the world, I eventually spotted the button and, wow, pressing it shoots you across the map in the most satisfying way. It’s a really cool world that looks like an absolute blast to play, especially with friends. Medieval Obby was next on the list, and honestly, this world looks incredible. The design and logo alone caught my attention straight away ā the creators have done an amazing job with the visual style. The gameplay is exactly what you’d expect from an obby ā jumping, trying not to fall, and doing it all over again. I somehow managed to survive a few close calls, and despite the difficulty, it’s a genuinely enjoyable world that I’d highly recommend giving a go. The Pond House was, without a doubt, my favourite world of the entire week. From the moment I loaded in, I was blown away. There’s a little fisherman, beautiful ambient sounds, a stunning waterfall, and some of the most creative log-building I’ve ever seen in Rec Room. The attention to detail throughout this world is remarkable, and what makes it even more impressive is that it was all built without Studio ā purely in-game tools only. It’s worlds like this that really showcase just how talented the Rec Room community is. Absolutely loved it. Forest Down North was another stunning world that genuinely took my breath away. It looks like it was all crafted using the Maker Pen, and the result is a beautifully scenic forest environment complete with a waterfall and incredible detail throughout. Walking through it and taking in the views was such a peaceful experience. It also reminded me of a massive storm we had recently where trees were falling over everywhere ā this world captured that same raw, natural beauty perfectly. A truly impressive build. The final world we checked out this week was Head.io. Right from the start, the UI jumped out at me ā and not entirely in a good way. There were quite a few purchase prompts and pay-to-play elements throughout the experience, which was a little overwhelming. That said, the UI design itself is actually really cool, especially the way it follows you around. The core gameplay ā moving around and collecting coins ā is genuinely fun, and the room itself has a lot of potential. If the pay-to-play elements were toned down a bit, I think this could be a really enjoyable world. Still worth checking out though! That wraps up this week’s featured rooms in Rec Room VR! It was a fantastic week overall, with some truly creative and inspiring worlds built by incredibly talented creators in the community. The Pond House was definitely the standout for me this week, but every single world brought something unique and exciting to the table.
