How to Clear/Destroy Land in Bedrock Minecraft on Xbox, PS5, Java PC, Switch and PE With Commands!

Video Summary

In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to efficiently clear large areas of land in Minecraft Bedrock Edition across multiple platforms including Xbox, PS5, Switch, and PE using commands. The process involves enabling coordinates in your settings, selecting a diagonal area by identifying the highest and lowest points, and using the /fill command with those coordinates and “air” to instantly remove all terrain and blocks. This method requires cheats to be enabled and cannot be undone, so careful coordinate selection is essential before executing the command.

How to Clear and Destroy Land in Minecraft Bedrock Edition Using Commands

Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyCap and welcome back to another post! Today I’m going to be showing you how to destroy and clear massive amounts of land in Minecraft Bedrock Edition — whether you’re playing on PS4, Xbox, Minecraft PE, or any other Bedrock platform. If you’d prefer to follow along visually, you can watch the full video here: Watch the Video on YouTube

Step 1: Enable Coordinates

Before we jump into the command itself, there is one important thing you will need to set up first — and that is enabling coordinates. You can see in the video that I have coordinates displayed in the top left corner of my screen, and this is pretty much required to make this whole tutorial work smoothly. To turn coordinates on, head into your Settings, then click on the Game tab and scroll down until you find the option that says Show Coordinates. By default this will be turned off, so all you need to do is switch it on and your coordinates will appear in the top left corner of your screen.

It is also worth noting that you will need cheats enabled for this to work, which unfortunately means this method will not work in a standard survival world.

Step 2: Select the Area You Want to Clear

Once your coordinates are visible, it’s time to identify the area you want to clear. In the video, I am working with an area that has a lot of trees that I want to remove so I can build a house. The key here is to select your area diagonally, meaning you need to identify two points — the highest point of the area and the lowest point. Think of it like drawing a box around the space you want to clear, with one corner at the top and one corner at the bottom on the opposite side.

To do this, fly over to your first point — in my case a tall pillar — and write down the coordinates. I grabbed a piece of paper (which I happened to already have on my desk!) and noted down my first set of coordinates: 6114, 74, 173. This was my highest point. Then I flew over to the opposite lower section of the area and noted down that second set of coordinates as well. Make sure you write these down carefully because you will need both sets for the command.

Step 3: Enter the Fill Command

Now for the part you’ve been waiting for — clearing the land! Open up your command terminal and you are going to use the /fill command. Type in /fill followed by your first set of coordinates, then your second set of coordinates. It does not matter which set you enter first as it will cover the same area either way. Once you have both coordinate sets entered, you then need to tell the game what you want to fill the area with — and since we want to clear it, we are going to use air. So the end of your command will simply be air.

Before you hit enter, please make absolutely sure your coordinates are correct — this cannot be undone. Once you are confident everything looks right, go ahead and hit enter, and you will see the entire selected area clear instantly. And just like that, all of that land is gone and ready for you to build on!

Final Thoughts

And that is how you clear massive amounts of land in Minecraft Bedrock Edition using commands! It is a really straightforward process once you have your coordinates ready and it can save you an enormous amount of time compared to clearing land by hand. I hope this guide has been helpful and I cannot wait to see what you build in all that cleared space!
