Video Summary
In this tutorial, I explain how to use the enchant command in Minecraft Bedrock Edition to quickly add enchantments to items. I cover the basic syntax of the command (typing /enchant @s followed by the enchantment name and level), important limitations like only being able to enchant compatible items and respecting maximum enchantment levels, and demonstrate practical examples using different tools. The video shows how simple it is to apply enchantments like mending and efficiency once you understand the command structure.
How To Use The Enchant Command In Minecraft Java and Bedrock!
Hey everybody, it’s UnderMyCap and welcome back to another video! Today I’m going to be showing you how to use the enchant command in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. If you’d prefer to watch the video version, you can check it out here.
What Is The Enchant Command?
The enchant command allows players to quickly enchant items in Minecraft. It’s a super simple thing to do and a great time saver when you need to get enchantments on your gear fast.
A Few Things To Keep In Mind
Before we get started, there are a few simple things to keep in mind. The enchant command only works on items that can actually be enchanted. For example, you can’t enchant a saddle because there are no enchantments available for it — you can’t give it something like Protection because that enchantment simply doesn’t apply to it. However, with something like an axe, you can enchant it because it is a weapon and there are a whole bunch of compatible enchantments available such as Impaling, Sharpness, and more. Another important thing to note is that you can’t go overboard with enchantment levels — so unfortunately you can’t have Sharpness 5,000, as much as that would be incredibly cool!
How To Use The Enchant Command
Now for the part you actually came here for — the command itself! First of all, you need to open up the command terminal. You can do this by hitting the / key. On iPads, there should be a small button in the top corner, and on Xbox it will be a different button depending on your controller setup. Once you have the command terminal open, you are going to want to type in the following command.
The Command
Start by typing /enchant, then follow it with @s. Of course, you can also put in your gamertag instead of @s — on Bedrock Edition mine is UnderMyCap2000 — but using @s is a quick and easy way to target yourself. After that, you simply add the enchantment name followed by the level you want. For example, if you have an axe selected, you could use mending as your enchantment. Since mending only has one level, the command would look like this: /enchant @s mending 1. Once entered, you’ll notice your axe now has the enchantment effect with Mending applied to it.
For another example, if you have a pickaxe selected and want to apply Efficiency at the maximum level, the command would look like this: /enchant @s efficiency 5 — since five is the maximum level for Efficiency. You’ll then have yourself an Efficiency V pickaxe, even if it happens to be a wooden one!
Wrapping Up
And that’s really all there is to it! The enchant command is a wonderfully simple and convenient tool to have in your Minecraft toolkit.
