This week's Featured Rooms inside of Rec Room VR

Video Summary
I take you through this week’s Featured Rooms in Rec Room VR, starting with the cozy and creative “me family room” packed with fun details and a huge skybox. Then I explore the spooky, trippy “Liinal Temptation,” which has a creepy backrooms-style vibe and tons of paths to discover. After that, I check out “Stonehenge,” an impressive outdoor build with a climbable zipline and chill campfire area. I finish in “Tune Troubles,” a super animated room full of blinking, talking characters and music-themed areas, and ask if you want a part two.

Formatted Transcript

Hey everyone—if it’s Tuesday, it’s Featured Rooms day. Without further ado, let’s dive into this week’s featured room list.

Okay, it’s actually Wednesday. I do apologize—but you can see we’re already in our first room.

Me Family Room

This first room is Me Family Room, and it’s a pretty cool space. Right away, there’s a massive mirror and a cozy family-room setup that really fits the name. There’s a little radio, and the creativity in the details is genuinely impressive.

There’s also a huge flat-screen TV, plus an awesome bookshelf. The bookshelf is incredibly tall—seriously, compare my height to it. The books are about the size of my head. I’m not sure if the room is intentionally playing with scale (like I’m supposed to be smaller), but even if the proportions are a little off, it’s still a very cool room.

The couches also look amazing—and I could never build something that good. You can even walk into them, which is a fun touch. And of course, you’ve got to have pets in these rooms: there’s a cute cat up here, and another one down there. They’re huge, but honestly the cats might be closer to the right scale than everything else. Either way, they’re very cool.

Up here, there’s a section that looks like it might be a studio area (I think that’s what it is), plus more great-looking couches. And the skybox is awesome—look at those stars. So cool.

Liminal Temptation

Next up is Liminal Temptation. Wow—this room is very spooky. There’s background music too (I’m not sure if you can hear it), but it definitely adds to the atmosphere.

There’s a pool, and some sound effects as well. The whole thing feels very unique—almost like it’s inspired by a “backrooms” type of theme. You’ve got these strange areas where you can fall in weird ways, and little unsettling details—like a chair with a potted plant.

As you explore, it gets even more interesting. There’s a section made up of all these shapes, but it builds into a really eerie vibe, with stairways leading up into different spaces. We made it up one set of stairs—and there are even more.

I also had a friend join us—he’s from Space Inc. Very cool. Hello! And yes, I’m recording, by the way.

This room is so trippy, and there are so many paths to explore. I only checked out one route—and I didn’t even go all the way—but it really feels like there are multiple spaces and directions you can go. It definitely leans into horror, and I’m not great with horror, so this one gets to me a bit. Still, it’s a very cool room.

Alright—let’s move on to the next one.

Stonehenge

The next room is Stonehenge. Wow. Look at this—holy moly. This is actually amazing. I feel like with increased ink limits, creators can do so much more, and this room really shows it.

There’s what looks like a zipline, and I immediately want to know if it actually works. The environment itself is beautiful: there’s a cozy campfire spot, rocks, greenery, and plants placed throughout.

And yes—I had to try the zipline. I climbed up, got to the top, and… you can use it. That is so cool.

Overall, this is a great map. There’s even some archery practice over in the distance, plus a cozy zone to hang out in. I love this one.

Tune Troubles

The last room we’re looking at is Tune Troubles, so let’s dive straight in.

Whoa—this room is very cool. There are these little figures everywhere, and they’re moving. They blink too—how do you even do that? That is such a great detail. There’s a little VIP penguin here, and another character over there. The blinking and talking animations are so well done.

Each character has its own personality—this one is aggressive—and it makes the room feel lively. There’s also a music area, and a whole bunch of different animations throughout the space. I would 100% check this one out. It’s genuinely impressive.

I think there are even sub-rooms as well, which is super cool.

Wrapping Up

That’s the end of this week’s featured rooms. There are plenty more I still need to check out, but we’re out of time.

If you enjoyed this, don’t forget to like the video, subscribe, hype the video, and comment. And if you want to see a part two, let me know by showing your support. Have an awesome day.
