This Weeks Best Featured Worlds Inside Of Rec Room VR

Video Summary
It’s Tuesday, so I jumped into this week’s featured Rec Room worlds and checked them out in private instances. I played “Don’t Eat the Porridge,” tried the button-hunting “Sky Island,” and ran through the “Medieval Obby,” all of which were really fun and well-made. My favorite was “The Pond House,” with its amazing atmosphere, creative details, and the fact it wasn’t made in studio, and I also loved the scenic “Forest Down North.” I ended with “Head.io,” which had a cool follow-UI and gameplay, but felt heavily focused on purchase prompts, then I wrapped up asking viewers to like and subscribe for next week.

If it’s Tuesday, it’s Featured Rooms day—so let’s get straight into it.

Don’t Eat the Porridge

The first room we’re checking out is Don’t Eat the Porridge. Let’s hop into a private instance.

Whoa—what is this? Hang on… wow. It’s taken us into a new type of room, and it looks really cool. There’s a kitchen area over here, plus a table, and the game is very clearly telling us not to eat the porridge… which means we’re obviously going to see what happens.

It says to take the ladle. How do we scoop this up? Okay—grab a bit, put it in the bowl… I dropped the spoon. Let me just pick that back up. Right—like this. Is that how it works?

How do I eat it? Okay, I think we’re supposed to eat the soup.

Oh my goodness—that is trippy. Very interesting game.

Find the Button: Sky Island

Next up is Find the Button: Sky Island. It looks like there’s a whole bunch of islands, and we have to find the button.

Let’s jump across and see how this works. Overall, it’s a very cool world, and it looks like a lot of fun to play in.

Oh—there’s the button. Whoa, it launches you all the way across. That’s kind of cool. Yeah, pretty cool world.

Medieval Obby

The next world is Medieval Obby, and this one looks awesome. Seriously—look at that. Holy moly. I love the logo, and you can see the creators featured here too.

Let’s get straight into level one. Please don’t teleport us… it’s teleporting us.

Okay, honestly, this room looks sick. You can see players jumping across already, so let’s give it a shot.

Oh—try again. Wait, is that even possible? Oh, it is possible. So it’s pretty much exactly what I expected: an obby. Very cool. I don’t know how I didn’t die just then, but still—really fun.

The Pond House

Next up: The Pond House.

Oh wow—this is actually so cool. Look at this. There’s a little fisherman, and there are ambient sounds too. That’s awesome. The water looks incredible—so creative.

Let’s see what this area is—there’s a waterfall over here. That is so cool. Look at that.

Over this way, there are logs… and honestly, that’s a really creative way to make logs. We’ve even got a player stuck in the logs.

And look at that house—that is so cool. I love this. This is probably my favorite map I’ve seen today.

It doesn’t look like studios were used either. Let’s check… yeah, no studio. That’s really impressive.

A Forest Down North

Next up, we have A Forest Down North. Let’s check this out.

Oh wow, this is so cool. Oh my gosh—look at that. This looks like it’s all made with the Maker Pen. That’s incredible.

There’s someone over there near the waterfall. Where do I walk? Let’s head over this way and just take in the view. The scenery is awesome.

I actually love this so much. Surely we can go up the waterfall… maybe not. Still, it’s really cool.

We had a massive storm where we live and trees were falling everywhere, and this reminds me exactly of that.

Head.io

The last room we’re looking at today is Head.io. Let’s check it out.

Whoa—okay, we’re already getting purchase prompts. Interesting. It looks like this game is very focused on paying for stuff. The UI following you around is kind of cool, though.

I see—you can walk around and customize. Oh wow, that’s actually a cool UI. But again, it really does look like there’s a lot of “pay to play” or donation-style stuff. Look at all of this. That’s nuts.

Still, it’s a cool room. Let’s give it a try.

Oh, I died. Respawn.

Okay, it’s asking me to pay for a lot of stuff. Let’s just restart and start again.

So we walk over here… oh, okay. That’s kind of cool. We move around and collect coins. I think it’s a fun concept—I just wish the UI wasn’t always there, because it feels very pay-focused.

But overall, it is a very cool room. I like it a lot.

Alright, it’s a bit glitched, but if you did enjoy this week’s featured rooms, make sure to leave a like and subscribe—and I can’t wait to see you next week. See you!

I died.
