Minecraft Shulker Box X-Ray Glitch!
Video Summary
In this video, I show a game-changing Bedrock Edition glitch that lets you “x-ray” underground using only a shulker box. By placing it facing you and spamming it to push yourself into a wall, you can briefly clip into blocks and see caves (and potentially hidden bases) beneath the surface. I test it on a cliff and confirm it works, though it seems limited and may get patched. It doesn’t work on Java, but it could be great for spotting diamonds or ancient cities.

Hey everybody, it’s Under My Cap, and welcome back to another video. Today I’m going to show you a game-changing glitch. I’m not sure how long this has been in the game, but I only recently saw it. Apparently, you can glitch into the ground and see underground using just a shulker box, which is pretty interesting.
Right now, I’m next to a cliff, and we’re going to see if we can spot any caves or anything below. I’m not sure how well this will work, but we’ll test it and see.
How the Shulker Box Underground Glitch Works (Bedrock Edition)
Apparently, all you have to do is stand in the area you want to be pushed into. That sounds funny, but that’s basically it. Then place the shulker box so it’s facing you, because it needs to push you when you move forward.
From there, you spam-place the shulker box until you’re positioned correctly, and then you crouch (shift). If you do it right, you can slowly walk into the wall.
No way—oh my gosh. You can actually walk into the wall and see caves. I’m not sure how far you can take it… okay, yeah, it works for a little while. It pushes you into the wall and lets you see underground, which is so cool.
Testing It Further
To test it a bit more, I’m going to try making a small gap in front of me and see if it changes anything. I’ll move toward the shulker box—by the way, this only works in Bedrock Edition—and then walk forward.
No way. Okay, this is very overpowered.
I can kind of see what Mojang has done to try to avoid this issue. When you walk into it, there’s a weird green “grass” effect, even when the block you’re looking at isn’t actually grass. But if you get positioned in the right spot, you can see a lot—although not everything around you.
Why This Glitch Is So Powerful
This feels pretty game-changing. If there are underground bases, you might even be able to spot them. And it could be useful for finding caves with diamonds, or even locating ancient cities.
Final Notes
That’s the shulker box glitch. If you enjoyed this, please leave a like and subscribe. I don’t know if this will work forever—it could get patched in a future update—but it’s worth trying while it still works in Bedrock Edition.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work on Java Edition. Thanks so much for watching, and I can’t wait to see you in the next video. See you!
