How To Use The Enchant Command In Minecraft Java and Bedrock!

Video Summary
In this video, I show how to use the /enchant command in Minecraft Bedrock Edition to quickly add enchantments to items. I explain that the command only works on items that can actually be enchanted and that you can’t set absurd levels like Sharpness 5000. Then I walk through the exact format: /enchant @s , demonstrating it with Mending I on an axe and Efficiency V on a pickaxe. I wrap up by inviting you to like, subscribe, and check out my other tutorials.

Hey everybody, it’s Undermyap, and welcome back to another video. Today I’m going to show you how to use the /enchant command in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

The enchant command lets you quickly add enchantments to items. It’s super simple to use, but there are a few things you should know before you start.

Important Things to Know

1) You can only enchant items that support enchantments

This command only works on items that can normally be enchanted. For example, you can’t enchant a saddle because there are no enchantments that apply to it. You can’t give it something like Protection, since saddles don’t support that.

However, tools and weapons (like axes) can be enchanted, since they have compatible enchantments available (such as Sharpness and others).

2) You can’t use extreme enchantment levels

You also can’t set ridiculous enchantment levels. For example, you can’t do something like Sharpness 5000 (even though that would be amazing). Enchantments are limited to their normal maximum levels.

How to Use the Enchant Command

Step 1: Open the command input

Open the chat/command input. On iPad, it’s the small button near the top corner. On Xbox, it’s a different button depending on your controller setup.

Step 2: Type the command

Use this format:

/enchant @s <enchantment> <level>

You can replace @s with your gamertag if you want. My gamertag is Undermyap2000, but I’m going to use @s here.

Examples

Example 1: Add Mending to an axe

If you’re holding an axe and want to apply Mending (which only has one level), type:

/enchant @s mending 1

After running the command, your axe will now have the Mending enchantment applied.

Example 2: Add Efficiency V to a pickaxe

If you’re holding a pickaxe and want Efficiency V (the maximum level for Efficiency), type:

/enchant @s efficiency 5

Now you’ll have an Efficiency V pickaxe—yes, even if it’s a wooden pickaxe (not sure why you’d do that, but you can).

That’s basically it! Thanks so much for watching, and I can’t wait to see you in the next video.
