So, without further ado, let’s get straight into it. ## What’s in the Box When you get the box, it’s literally just the item. There’s nothing else—no manual—just a box with the phone grip. ## Build Quality and Design The really cool thing about the phone grip is that it’s made out of metal. Compared to this really low-quality one I have from online—which is made of plastic and is quite flimsy—this one is solid metal. You can even see metal bars in it when you open it up. Another really nice feature is that there’s a layer of rubber inside. So, if you have a phone you don’t want to scratch, don’t worry—it will protect it. ## Mounting Options If you want to mount this to any of your tripods, there’s a way you can screw it in here. If you go to the back, there’s also another screw point, so you’ve got two ways to attach it to your tripod. ## Setting It Up on a Tripod What I’m going to do now is put it on a tripod and show you exactly how it looks and how to use it. My boom arm here—I’m actually going to use this little screw on the bottom, and I’m just going to screw that onto this. Now that we’ve got that screwed in, I’ve had to move this back a bit because my mic boom arm isn’t really happy at the moment with what I’m doing with it. What I’ll do now is put my phone on it. ## How It Holds the Phone To attach your phone, you simply rest it on this bottom part, then pull the top up. That’s actually really cool. I can move it down and you can see it holds it really well. If you have a phone that’s quite thick, you can stretch it to fit. That’s actually really cool. To remove the mount from anything, you can simply unscrew it like this—lots of spinning—and then I’m just going to put it on the table. ## Final Thoughts As you can see, this is what it looks like with my phone. It’s actually really nice. It has a really nice texture and it just looks really good. You do have to watch out for these sharp corners, however. I have noticed they are a little bit sharp, and you don’t want to dent anything or damage anything. Apart from that, it’s actually a really, really cool product, and I would recommend it. It’s made out of metal, it doesn’t feel cheap, and it’s reasonably priced in Australia.
