Video Summary
In this video, I show you how to get and use Light Blocks in Minecraft Bedrock Edition to brighten areas without placing visible torches. I demonstrate how Light Blocks can be stacked to increase light levels and make a dark temple easy to see in. Then I explain the command to obtain them (/give @s light_block), and how they place and behave in the world. If it helped, I ask you to like, subscribe, and I’ll see you in the next video.

Hey everybody, it’s UnMyap, and welcome back to another video. Today, I’m going to show you how to get and use a Light Block in Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

What Is a Light Block?

Right now, I’m inside a temple. If I go down here and block this off, you’ll notice something interesting: there’s light in here even though there aren’t any torches.

That’s because I’m using a Light Block.

If I break these two blocks, you still won’t see anything obvious. However, if I place a Light Block and then increase its light level, I can make this whole area much brighter. As I keep raising the light level, the room becomes easier and easier to see—until I can finally see clearly throughout the temple.

How to Get a Light Block in Minecraft Bedrock Edition

The command to get a Light Block in Bedrock is similar to Java Edition, but it’s slightly different.

Use this command:

/give @s light_block

@s refers to yourself. If you prefer, you can also replace @s with your username.

How Light Blocks Behave

Once you run the command and press enter, you’ll receive a Light Block with a light level of 0.

After that, you can place as many Light Blocks as you want. They’re really useful for hidden lighting, because they let you brighten an area without placing visible light sources like torches.

One important detail: they behave a bit like barrier blocks—if you’re not holding the Light Block item anymore, the placed Light Blocks won’t be visible.

If you found this useful, don’t forget to leave a like and subscribe. I can’t wait to see you in the next video. See you!
