This Week’s Featured Rooms Inside Rec Room VR

Hey everyone! If it’s Tuesday, it’s featured rooms day — and without further ado, let’s dive into this week’s featured room list. Now, it is actually Wednesday, and I do apologize for that, but let’s not waste any more time and get straight into it!

If you’d prefer to watch the video instead of reading, you can check it out here: This Week’s Featured Rooms Inside of Rec Room VR

Room 1: Me Family Room

The first room we’re checking out is Me Family Room, and it is a pretty cool room! Right away you’re greeted with a massive mirror and an awesome family room setup — which I guess is exactly what the name suggests. There’s a little radio, and I have to say, the creativity on display is just incredible. There’s also a massive flat screen TV and an awesome bookshelf that is seriously tall. To give you some perspective, the books on this shelf are about the size of my head — so either I’m very small or the scale is a little off, but either way it’s a very cool room. The couches are amazing too, and you can actually walk into them which is a really fun touch. Of course, what’s a featured room without a pet? There are some adorable cats in here as well, and while they are on the larger side, they fit the vibe of the room perfectly. Topping it all off is a stunning skybox filled with stars that just makes the whole space feel magical.

Room 2: Liinal Temptation

The next room we’re heading into is Liinal Temptation, and wow — this one is seriously spooky! The moment you walk in, there’s background music that sets a really eerie atmosphere. There’s a pool, some unsettling sound effects, and the whole theme feels very much inspired by the backrooms concept. There are all kinds of weird pathways where you can fall and navigate through strange spaces, along with some unexpected details like a chair and a pot plant that add to the creepiness. As you explore further, you’ll find a whole bunch of shapes that come together to build this incredibly unique and trippy atmosphere, complete with steps that lead you deeper into the experience. I’ll be honest — I’m not great with horror at all, but even I have to admit this room is impressively well crafted. There are multiple different paths you can explore, and I barely scratched the surface during my visit. If you enjoy spooky, atmospheric builds, this one is absolutely worth checking out.

Room 3: Stonehenge

Next up is Stonehenge, and holy moly — this room is actually amazing. It’s a fantastic example of what creators can achieve as the ink limits in Rec Room continue to improve, allowing for more and more detail. There’s a zipline you can actually use, a cozy campfire spot, some beautifully placed rocks, greenery, and plants scattered throughout. One of the highlights for me was discovering that you can actually climb the stone structures, which was such a fun surprise. There’s also a little archery practice area and a cozy relaxation zone tucked away in the space. This is genuinely one of my favourite maps from this week’s list — it’s creative, interactive, and just a really enjoyable space to explore.

Room 4: Tune Troubles

The final room this week is Tune Troubles, and this one left me genuinely impressed. Right away you’re greeted by these adorable little figures that actually move, blink, and even talk — I honestly have no idea how the creator pulled that off, but it is so cool. There’s a VIP penguin, a whole cast of little characters each with their own personality, and even one that comes across as a little aggressive which gave me a good laugh. The room also features a music area, loads of different animations, and what appears to be some sub-rooms to explore as well. I would 100% recommend checking this one out — the level of detail and interactivity is outstanding.

That’s a Wrap on This Week’s Featured Rooms!

And that is it for this week’s featured rooms in Rec Room VR! There are plenty more rooms I still have to cover, but we ran out of time for this one.
